Continuous innovation: Namirial’s Journey into Generative AI and Machine Learning

Virtual reconstruction of a human face

In June 2017, Ashish Vaswani and his team unveiled a groundbreaking paper titled Attention Is All You Need, introducing the Transformer model—an innovative neural network architecture for sequence-to-sequence tasks. This marked a significant milestone in the realm of Generative AI, heralding a new era of possibilities for artificial intelligence applications.

Over the past few years, Namirial has been deeply immersed in the realm of machine learning, a subset of AI dedicated to leveraging data and algorithms to simulate human learning processes, thereby enhancing accuracy over time. Our focus has predominantly centered around employing machine learning techniques in various domains, including customer digital onboarding, document understanding, and fraud detection, particularly within sectors such as banking and insurance.

In November 2022, with the advent of ChatGPT, we pivoted our attention towards transformers and foundational models. Our primary objective was to engage and involve as many developers as possible in the realm of Generative AI, fostering curiosity and participation across the organization.

To this end, we initiated an API program encompassing several initiatives:

  • Establishment of dedicated channels on our company messaging platform for sharing ideas and best practices.
  • Organization of specialized hackathons focused on Generative AI.
  • Formation of an internal guild, which externally manifests as the Namirial AI-lab.

Today, I’m pleased to share that over 130 Namirial engineers are actively utilizing Generative AI tools, yielding productivity gains of up to 35%. These gains are evident in various facets of our operations, ranging from reduced induction times for new team members to expedited quality assurance processes, improved documentation, and release notes.

However, the impact of cultivating a culture of Generative AI extends far beyond mere productivity enhancements. We are currently spearheading a project aimed at consolidating our company’s knowledge into a versatile database, enabling stakeholders across different departments—be it customers, support teams, or sales development representatives—to effortlessly access information pertaining to our products, use cases, and issues.

Furthermore, we are integrating AI capabilities into nearly every facet of our product ecosystem. Just recently, we unveiled an upgraded version of our flagship product, eSignAnywhere, equipped with AI functionalities designed to enhance the user signing experience. Stay tuned for more exciting product announcements throughout the year.

At Namirial, innovation is ingrained in our DNA, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to investing in Generative AI, with the vision of becoming an AI-powered QTSP (Qualified Trust Service Provider).
